SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to sassa status attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
